Boot Care

Your boots  will last longer if you take care of them.
Therefore here at Bennetts Boots we have prepared some guidelines for you to follow on how to look after your new boots.

General Instructions

Regular use of a water and stain protector spray will create an invisible shield against water and everyday stains.

Wet boots should always be left to dry naturally.

The use of boot shapers will maintain the shape of your boots when not being worn and prevents boots from bending, sagging  and avoiding permanent creases.

These shoe products can be found at your local shoe shop or department store.

Leather Care Instructions

Taking care of your leather products is very important.

Leather can last forever if given proper care.

Periodically apply a neutral shoe cream (minute amount) with a soft cloth. The cream will nourish, clean and condition your leather boots, we suggest using Zorbel Conditioner.

Wipe over lightly with a damp sponge and allow to dry naturally,  and then buff using gentle strokes with a soft brush, taking care not to rub too hard.

To instantly clean and shine leather boots, use a instant shine sponge.

Leather is not waterproof, using a product such as Shoo save may help to protect your leather from water penetration.

And if possible, avoiding direct sunlight will keep your leather products in good condition.  It is equally important to avoid extreme temperatures of heat or cold.

Suede Care Instructions
Never apply cream or polish.
To clean gently brush off and remove loose dirt and mud, wipe with a damp sponge and allow to dry naturally.
When dry, use suede brush to restore the nap.
Don't leave your boots in direct sunlight.

Cautions

Don’t try cleaners, solvents and other usually normal cleaning solutions on leather. Leather is by nature a very porous material and often cannot be completely restored.
